The Baltimore Chapter of the American Marketing Association runs exclusively on volunteer power. We like to recognize that extraordinary effort by taking time to select one of these hard-working individuals as our Volunteer of the Month. Volunteers of the Month are nominated and voted on by AMA Baltimore board members.

Our Volunteer of the Month for February is Becky Godboldte of the Collegiate Committee!

Becky is a full-time MBA student at Loyola University Maryland and she expects to complete her degree in August of 2016.

As Director of Scholarships for AMA Baltimore, Becky is involved in many important projects, including facilitating the judging and selection of this year’s AMA scholarship recipients. She aspires to help increase student awareness of AMA scholarship opportunities and identify new opportunities for AMA Baltimore to expand its scholarship endowment fund.

Becky is passionate about education and wants to share that passion with students, “Through my role as the Director of Scholarships, I have the opportunity to be a part of a process that helps some of the brightest, most motivated, business students ease the burden of tuition. I am so proud of that, and it is so fulfilling to see those students rewarded for all of their hard work.”

The most enjoyable part of Becky’s volunteer role has been interacting with the scholarship recipients. She’s impressed with how much these students have accomplished in their academic and professional careers.

Volunteering is not the only positive experience Becky has had with AMA Baltimore, she is also a fan of AMA Baltimore’s events! “I’m relatively new to the Baltimore area, so being involved with AMA Baltimore has been a wonderful way for me to learn about the business landscape here. At every AMA Baltimore event I attend, I meet new people and learn more about the companies and businesses operating in and around the area.”

Do you have what it takes to be our next VOM? There are numerous benefits to volunteering for the Baltimore Chapter of the American Marketing Association. Contact Eileen Gwin, egwin@amabaltimore.org, for more information on how you can contribute your talents to our chapter!
